Sizing

Because ShnuggabugBaby Slings are non-adjustable, it is very important to measure correctly before ordering to ensure a proper fit.  A sling that is too big is hard on Mommy's back and does not hold baby close and secure as intended, and a sling that is too small is difficult or impossible to get baby in and out of, and is uncomfortable for both Mommy and baby.

To measure: using a soft measuring tape (as for sewing), measure in inches from the top corner of one shoulder (preferably the shoulder over which you will usually wear your sling) to the top of the opposite hip bone on your side, midway between front and back.  Make sure to measure over your clothes, as you will be wearing your sling over your clothes.  If you are taking this measurement while pregnant, measure in the same manner across your back rather than your front.  The tape measure should be stretched from shoulder to hip firmly, but not tightly (in other words, you should be able to easily slip a hand under the tape measure).  If your measurement is a fraction, round up to the nearest whole inch, and refer to the following size conversion:

Shoulder to Hip Measurement  =  Size

21 - 22 inches                                =    XS

23 - 24 inches                              =     S

25 - 26 inches                              =     M

27 - 28 inches                              =     L

29 - 30 inches                                =    XL

31 - 32 inches                                 =   XXL

While following these instructions should provide an accurate measurement for a properly fitting sling, this is not an exact science.  Different body types come into play.  Should your sling not fit comfortably when you receive it, you may return it for a refund of the purchace price (shipping costs are not refundable) or replacement within 30 days of shipment date, provided it is in the same new, unused condition as when you received it.  I am happy to replace your sling should it not fit properly; however, I cannot guarantee that the same fabric will be available.  Should the same fabric not be available, I will either: (a) replace your sling using a different fabric of your choice, (b) refund you the purchase price, less shipping costs, or (c) issue a gift certificate to you to be used at a later time.  Should you need to return an item, please first contact me at shnuggabugbaby@gmail.com and a return address will be provided to you.
